Spring!

I love the fact that spring is coming and the cold, long winter is ending!
It's March and we still have been getting those super cold days that you don't want to do anything but sit inside and watch TV. But, don't worry! It's getting warmer and spring is coming.

I love spring and everything it brings along with it, mostly the flowers and the warm weather! Spring break is only two weeks away and that means the flowers, the green grass the fruit and the sun! Thank goodness for the springtime!

Technology Blog #4

In the article "Who's the better translator: Machines or Humans?" it talks about Facebook and a selected few other sites that are trying to translate languages so that those who speak different languages can participate and be a part of this world-wide website. The new languages range from Chinese to "Pirate" which can now be changed so you speak like a pirate! This is a very helpful thing for those Facebook users who do not speak English, Spanish, or even Pirate, they will now be able to!

Hopefully they will put into action all the languages needed for operators, but it may be a slow process, for there is not many people who speak both languages willing to help. But thanks to those who are helping with this process, Facebook is changed to a World-Wide website to connect everyone together!

Technology Blog #3

The article in the "Deseret News" says that teens are getting deprived of their sleep! Maybe that is so, then again maybe not. I think that I may fall under the category of technology keeping me up at night, but for the most part if I am texting late into the night I will tell them goodnight and go right to sleep. For others it isn't this easy! It may sound ridiculous but true. Just read "Technology Further Deprives Teens of Sleep" in the Deseret News and you will soon understand just how many teenagers are not getting sleep, whether it be because of cell phones, computers, laptops, or any other technological device.

"5 Easy Steps to Stay Safe (and Private!) on Facebook."

This article by Sarah Perez outlines some precautions everyone can take to protect their own privacy on Facebook. Some of the steps are very useful and may help protect everyone. If you are worried about your information on Facebook, here are some simple steps to take.

1. Make Friends Lists: through this you can now categorize your Facebook friends into different categories that may or may not be able to see your info!
2. Who Can See What on Your Profile: If all of your friends are categorized into different groups this should be pretty easy. You can choose what groups see your pictures, posts, thoughts, or anything else on your profile.
3. Who Can See Your Address and Phone Number: You may not want all of your friends to see this information, select which groups you want to and which you do not.
4. Change Who Can Find You on Facebook via Search: You have the choice to choose who can search your name and actually find you. select only your friends, only family, pretty much anything you want you can change on this selection.
5. Stop Sharing Personal Information With Unknown Applications: You may not want to keep the quiz's about yourself on your profile. You can now delete them if you chose to do so.

I think that if we all follow these steps we will be better of and for now be a lot safer on Facebook. I know that I will feel better knowing that not everyone can see my personal information.

Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter

Oh boy, where to begin.

I guess all I have to say is I cannot wait for summer to come! It seems so far away. I simply cannot wait for...

1. Boating trips
2. Lake Powell visits
3. Wearing shorts and short sleeve shirts
4. The long, painful, yet fun bike rides! (Yes Kaylee, I know you thought of that one too)
5. BBQ's
6. WATERMELON! (I love it)
7. Fruit in general
8. The warmth of the sun on your skin
9. The sun
10. and the... sun

So as you can see I am most excited for the sun to come out and warm everything up again. I will treat summer like it will never end, and yet it will. It always does. But, its ok. It will come around again next year! And again, It always does :)

Technology Post

After reading the news article "In Web World of 24/7 Stress, Writers Blog Till They Drop" I have realized that I would much rather blog for fun and not for a job!

In this article it talks about two people who litteraly "drop" that have been blogging for buisness. Other bloggers who do blog to make money say they get tired and worn out. They rarely sleep a full night, they do not eat a healthy meal, and some don't even leave their homes! It is crazy that anyone should have to work that hard for their months pay check, but if you are doubting it, don't worry there is people out there doing it!

I think that personally people should have fun while they blog and not have to worry about the income it is bringing. It is a good idea, but to suffer so much is ridiculous. Personally I do not feel that people should be going to such extremes! I understand trying to make a little money here and there, but hurting myself so much like some of these people do, I would not enjoy that! So there is my opinion on the matter :)

Wow! Is all i can say as I sit here blankly staring at the computer screen, not knowing what to write on my second day! How am I going to do this almost everyday when day number two i have nothing to write! So stick with me and together we will get through ha ha :) So the title of this post just came to mind as i had nothing to write, it seems to me as everything is unknown and then you start typing and it somehow comes to mind! It's weird how things work like that! So for today I think things will be "unknown" as I am just starting my day and do not know what to expect, but for now I guess i will just continue on with my unknown day and I suppose everything will simply fall into place.

My first post!

When I started this blog in November, I thought i would actually post.... and obviously i didn't. Now for school we have a "blogging" assignment, my blog will now have something to read! So here we go! I am hopping I will keep up so if you want to come along with my blogging journey, this is where it starts!

I just realized that this is going to be very hard! Wow i thought right after I typed "blog entry 1" for after that i had nothing to say ha! So this is going to be very interesting and I am hoping that you (whoever you are) will stick with me and slowly I will have some things you may want to actually read!
